Ontario, Mar 1874, M. in Ontario, 1891, to Jonathan Cunningham-Slaght. She had a sister, Mrs. Elijah Graves, who lived in Vanessa, Ontario at the time of Maria's death 6 sep 1924. I believe that my BURCH ancestors possibly lived in NC. My grandparents were Enoch Arden BURCH (1867-1951) and Anna Marie (Annie) FUCHS (1871-1941), both believed born in Illinois. When Annie's mother died in MO in 1922, her obituary mentioned that Annie was living in NC, however, I don't know where in NC, or why the family would be there. I also have a cousin, Leroy Burch, and wonder if he's the same one that you mention? We've been researching our ancestry for several years, but still have been unable to learn identities of Enoch Arden BURCH's parents. Only other possible clue may be our grandfather's middle name, Enoch Arden BURCH. As people often used their family surname as middle names for children, perhaps his mother's maiden name was ARDEN?? Maybe a "stretch", but that's about all I have to go on. Thanks for any information, or clues, you can provide.

He was born July 30, 1880. I do not know where or even any thing about his parents. Except that he was adopted and we were told that his parent's names were Thomas and Martha (DePere).
