Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3gG.2ACEB/259.287.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Jeff: Thanks for the info on Joseph Burch and the URL to your site. Sarah Elizabeth Myers (Sallie), sister of your Edward Carlton Myers, was my great grandmother. She married Manly Thomas Barrett. Just for more "kissing cousins" information, Manly Thomas' mother was Elizabeth Thomas Harrell, a daughter of James and Mary Hollandsworth Harrell. This gives my grandmother 4 crosses to Lewis Harrell and Sarah Perkins and 2 crosses to Mary Hollandsworth Burch.

I can’t say whether or not our Joseph Burch Jr. is the one that died in Telifair Co. (although he did die in 1818), but I do have a possible correction for you: According to Wm. Bernette Burch’s “The Burch Family,” (available online in the notes at http://homepage.mac.com/familyhistory/families/myers/names/maryburch.html ), both Joseph Burch Jr. and Elizabeth Thomas were the child of Mary Hollendsworth. While there certainly could have been two women by that name, I find the alternative presented by the IGI to be more likely: the mother of Joseph Burch Jr. was Mary Ann Fisher (see International Genealogical Index, batch #7003301, source #0538288, sheet #47; also batch # M505491, source #0023339, 0845161; 975.791 C1 V26S). I personally haven’t had the chance to do any first-generation research on this family, but it kind of sits right with me that W. B. Burch was mistaken on this one. So how do you know Joe Jr?

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3gG.2ACEB/867.876.1 Message Board Post: Hi Vicki, This is the same. I have info on Lazarus and his parents. I also have info that says Lazarus had a son named William, but I've yet to find any definite/verifiable links between Lazarus and the William Henry who married Victoria Probs/Probst/Propps. The family info I received only had info for William Henry, Sr., William Henry Jr., Lazarus, and William but only in name - no other information. I even have a picture of my William Henry's tombstone that gives military info, but have found his name no where when looking at rosters and such. Have never found anything on Victoria. So thats about it. If you come across any definitive info linking my William Henry Burch b.1846 to Lazarus Burch b.1819 or on Victoria, I'd love to see it. Take care, Sherry
