My BURCH ancestors also migrated from IN to KS (via IL and MO). As an aid to tracing my ancestors migration, I'm in the process of compiling a database of BURCH's and BIRCH's in these 4 states. ANY information regarding any BURCH's or BIRCH's in IN, IL, MO, or KS will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Arthur J. Burch

He was my gggrandfather and I have a lot of data on himincluding data from a family researched book privately printed and family distributed "Martin & Neely Descendants"by Louise Neely.(TX) I do not know what data Lee Burch has, however Barnabas Burch was hung after a trial for belonging to an organization oposing the South in the war. 42 Men were hung after a mob rounded them up and tried them "legally". I have more data on him but no data so far on his first wife, a M. May. some stories say she was divorced. Barnabas had at least 4 wives. His 4th wife and my ggrandmother removed the body from a warehouse in town and buried him on the Neely farm. The grave is still visible but no marker. Contact me if you want more of this data, including namesof children, dates, etc. [email protected]

If you have any information on this person I would greatly appreciate it. She married a James McLaughlin in Niagara County, NY and died in Niagara Falls in 1919. I would most appreciate any info you might have. Lindamine is a very unusual name. Her sons were Roland, Lamott and William.
I am new to the list, and I am seeking to share information with someone who is researching the family of SIMEON A BURCH born about 1790 and residing in AMHERST CO., VA. SIMEON was the son of LEONARD BURCH from his second marriage to a Ms. CROW (LEONARD was married first to MONICA GUY WEBSTER). SIMEON married first a SALLY REES in 1808 - then he married LOUISA J DEMPSEY in 1840. I am very much interested in Simeon and SALLY's daughter MARY BURCH born in 1820. We have no additional info on her, save her birth. Simeon and Sally BURCH also had CASSANDRA BURCH born about 1818, JOHN BURCH born about 1826, and ELIZABETH BURCH born about 1836. Thank you. I have been trying to find the parentage of Philip Burch of Person County. He was married to Mary Hargis, and apparently had no children of his own. His wife was aunt to my ancestress, Lucy Hudgins, whose mother was Nancy Hargis. My ancestor, John Fox, had been apprenticed to Philip, when he was twelve. Eventually John married Lucy. I have always felt that Phillip was a surrogate father to my John, and would like to place him in the proper perspective as far as family and connections. John Fox's brother, William, was apprenticed to Henry Burch, who married Elizabeth Dollarhide and moved westward. I have often wondered if Philip and Henry were brothers, but can find no one who seems to include them in their family lines. I do know that when William Fox married in 1822 Richard Crisp was the bondsman for the marriage of William and Nancy. Richard Crisp was the son of Janey Burch and John Crisp. I though perhaps the Crisp/Burch! connection might have something to do with your line. Best regards, John Fox Winston Salem, NC

It's http://www.surnameheirlooms.com and they collect items such as this and post them on their site for people to purchase. They do not mark anything up to make a profit. Those bibles would be such a treasure for someone and I hate to see them lost or thrown away. I hope you are able to put them in the rightful owner's hands.

I personally haven’t had the chance to do any first-generation research on this family, but it kind of sits right with me that W. B. Burch was mistaken on this one." If Mary Hollendsworth was his mother, Joseph Burch Jr and Elizabeth Thomas were half brother and sister. I also find this unlikely, but who knows.(See:http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/d/e/w/Angela-Seddinger-Dew/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-0491.html?Welcome=1019950292 ) Our Joseph Burch Jr. was born on April 24, 1775 and died on March 12, 1818
