I can't remember exactly what form the records for Burch were in, but when I can get to the film again on Thursday, I'll write down which Burch family it is and what it is and put it on this message board. A couple of the bibles had apparently won prizes in a family bible contest at the Cotton Exposition in Atlanta in about 1888. Pattie

I'm looking for information on my grandfather, James Martin Burch. He was born December 15, 1861, Winslow, Pike County, Indiana. He married Minerva Frances Bohan Sept. 25, 1881 in Newport, Vernon County, MO, and he died April 3, 1932, Columbia, Boone County, MO. He and Minerva Frances had four children, Ira, Florence (both died young and I have no information on their dates of birth or death), Millard Franklin (lived a long time, but I have no information on him, either other than he was "Uncle Frank." Lastly, my mother, Alma Frances Burch who was born Nov 21, 1893 in Sedalia, Pettis County, MO, married Lee Wallen May 22, 1913, St. Louis, MO. They had two children,Lois Adele born May 4, 1914, in Franklin, MO, and me, Mary Lee born January 19, 1917, in Franklin, MO. Alma died Oct. 26, 1982 in Los Angeles, CA; buried Nov. 4, 1982 in St. Louis; Lee Wallen died April 11, 1974 in St. Louis. They are "entombed" together in St. Louis, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, MO. Since gleaning all the information I could find from the two bibles My travels very quickly and unexpectedly took me out of the country I have had no time to post the information since. Bellow you will find all of the information contained in the bible and paperwork therein. All information was found together so it is my belief the families at some point intermarried. Burch family is all at the top and Haslet family is all at the bottom as there is more info for this family. If any of you know these families to be yours email me and I will see if the bibles are still there.
