Not sure if the Lewis I have is grandparents but here they are. #1, Lewis born 1830, IN, son of James B & Sarah (Walden) Burch. She is listed as daughter. Edward, Mary E with children Richard J, Aligail P, are on the 1860 Washington La census. Aligail P is listed as 7 Miss A B Bunch married D Kirland in Simpson on Sept 24, 1876 according to a transcription of the marriage records. I believe the Precilla Kirkland is my grgrgrandmother. Her maiden name is suppose to be Abernathy. I have found no Abernathy information that fits the time frame, so I think that is in error. The Edward Birch , Precilla Kirkland information does fit. The Kirkland families that are listed on the 1880 census are her in-laws. She married David Kirkland son of Stephen L. Kirkland. Burch b. 1871 MS or LA. One source lists his parents names as Hick Burch (nickname I am sure) and Lizzie Austin. He married Mollie Kirkland in Simpson Co. I belive that Mollie's mother was Abigail Precilla Burch daughter of Edward Burch. Abigail married David Kirkland, there was one child my great grandmother, Mary "Mollie" Kirkland. They divorced. Ira was my gr-gr-gramdfather and I have been searching for him for years. He last shows up in Berrien Co MI (my home town) where his son Reed arrived i 1849 and Ira came two years later (info from old correspondence from my gr-grandmother Mary Jane Ferris Jewell). He is on 1840 census in Ohio with Reed and other son Delos (buried there). I can not find him buried in MI, but correspondence says he may have gone west when another son arrived and wanted hime to go to Pike's Peak. Second wife is Hannah. First wife (mother of Reed) is unknown. I have 1812 War records. Nothing else on Martha Burch. Edmund was married four or five times tho and I have list of all children from each marriage.
