I spent today watching the birds at the feeder. There were several little Anna Hummingbirds and they will soon be nesting as their first babies are usually born in mid-January. It was a beautiful day in Tucson. Robbie and Susie are already into the New Year and the fireworks in Sydney, Aus. were spectacular. I will probably be sound asleep at midnight until the shooting starts. It is a custom here to shoot off guns at midnight New Year's Eve and all of us non-shooters cower in our beds praying that none of the bullets come through the roof. As you know, what goes up must come down some place and I hope it is not in my bed! I hope everyone has a very good year next year and that I see many of you in Portsmouth and Dover, NH in June. Bette
