    3. The LDS church has put the 1880 U.S. census and the 1881 English and Canadian census' online. Go to http://www.familysearch.org and click on the census on the left side of the page. I found while working on the 1881 Canadian census that it was necessary to do a surname search to find the entire household. If you are looking for a specific person, like William Bunker, it will find all the William Bunkers but you will not know who was in their households with them. There were only 127 Bunkers in Canada in 1881 and only 27 households. However, In England and the U.S. I imagine there were a lot more. It may be that you will have to narrow it down to a specific state and do a surname search in that state to get your household. Another site of interest for military records is http://www.buffalonet.org Click on army barracks and you will find lists of officers and enlisted men.
