A Revolutionary War index and one on the Alaskan Gold Rush looked especially interesting. http://www.heritagequest.com You might find http://www.ushistory.org interesting. Gil will find his hero, Stephen Girard, on there. Did you know that you can find the phone number for nearly everyone in the US on http://www.msn.com ? Look on the left side of the page under find and you will see white pages. Click on this and it will take you to a page where you can put in the name, city and state of the person you are looking for. When you find your person, click on their name and it will give you their full address and a map to their house. If you don't know the city you can put in the name and just the state. Or you can put in only the last name and the state. By using the yellow pages on mmsn.com you can find funeral homes, libraries, cemeteries, government offices, etc. that might help you in your research. And would you like to see what it looks like in your old home town right now? Nearly every city has a website and most of them have web cams. For instance you can go to http://www.ci.tucson.az.us and click on city cam (picture on bottom left of page) to see what it looks like right now where I am. Or http://www.searchwellington.co.nz/index.jsp and click on web cams (on left about middle of page) to see what it looks like in New Zealand where Robbie Bunker lives. Have fun. Bette
