    3. Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans on this list. I am overjoyed that I will have at least one of my kids to celebrate with as I spent several years with none living any where near me. My sister and mother live in MN, my father and step-mother in CA, my brother in the Philippines, my oldest daughter in Germany, the middle daughter in Florida and the youngest in Denver while I live in Arizona. Only my son and his wife live here in Tucson and nicely enough Lisa will be doing most of the cooking this year. Yay! For some real facts about the first Thanksgiving in Plymouth, MA go to <http://www.plimoth.org/Library/Thanksgiving/firstT.htm> There are lots and lots of sites but this is a really good one. In PLYMOUTH COLONY, ITS HISTORY & PEOPLE 1620-1691 by Eugene Aubrey Stratton, the author quotes Edward Winslow as follows: "Our harvest being gotten in, our Governour sent foure men on fowling, that we might after a more speciall manner rejoyce together, after we had gathered the fruit of our labours; they foure in one day killed as much fowle, as with a little help beside, served the Company almost a weeke, at which time amongst other Recreations, we exercised our Armes, many of the Indians coming amongst us, and amongst the rest their greatest King Massasoyt, with some nintie men, whom for three days we entertained and feasted, and they went out and killed five Deere, which they brought to the Plantation and bestowed on our Governour, and upon the Captaine, and others. And although it be not alwayes so plentiful, as it was at this time with us, yet by the goodnesse of God, we are so farre from want, that we often wish you partakers of our plentie." Bette
