    3. Cousins, George had his aem amputated due to gunshot wound. He rec'd pension of $25 until he died on 3 Oct 1917. Ellen applied for widow's pension on 22 Oct 1917, gil Boydsville, Clay County, Arkansas This June the 3rd, 1886 Mr. President Cleveland, Washington City, DC Dear Sir I have a bill now pending in congress and if it passes through both houses, I kindly ask you to sign it, for Mr. President I am in destitute circumstances. and but one arm to make a living for myself and family. I enlisted in the federal army in 1861 and was honorably discharged in 1863 and in the time. while on furloug I was rendered a cripple. by the fault of other parties which I could not help I made application for pension about sixteen years ago and faild my friends all said I would fail because I am and was a democrat. I did all I could for the united States in time of need and now I am a cripple and a Pension is a little might to the United States and would be a great value to me. and now Mr. President. if my bill comes to you please sign it and relieve the wants of an old veteran soldier Yours.     3. A question for those researching this branch: I am correct in my assumption that this is the George Washington Bunker that is identified as U-853 in the book Bunker Genealogy? I am researching G.W.'s brother James I Bunker (U-852).
