Bunker D-249 The current issue of The Genealogical Record -- Strafford County, NH (Vol. 26, No. 2) has a transcription of applications for the Dover, NH, chapter of the G.A.R., including this one from March 26, 1885: Charles H. Bunker, Age 46, born in Durham, living in Durham, farmer. Enlisted Oct. 17, 1864, as landsman on ship Vandalia for 2 years, discharged as ship's cook at Portsmouth, N.H., on May 18, 1866, by reason of expiration of term of service.
