    3. I live in Bexhill in the U.K. and recently I was asked by a neighbour if I was related to Chang & Eng Bunker of Siamese twins fame. It seemed her grandfather had run a Grocer's Shop in Palmers Green in London and the Sweet Shop opposite was occupied by a son of either Chang or Eng. I asked her to write down what information she had and the following is what she could remember: 'Chang & Eng Bunker 1814-71. The son of one of them ran a sweet shop. He was married and had a 'fairly large' family. The sweet shop was in Green Lanes, Palmers Green, North London. My Grandfather's greengrocery shop was at 157 Green Lanes. Both shops were destroyed in the bombing of World War 2. One of the sweet-shop Bunker's sons went out to Australia. In 1920 approx. In 1920 my Uncle Jim & Uncle Fred went out to Australia and met the Bunker grandson. He was unmarried at the time and said he had no intention of getting married because he was afraid of having Siamese twins.' I would be interested to know which son of Chang & Eng came to settle in London and were there any others? It would seem that some Bunkers in the U.K. are descended through this line and are probably unaware of it. David BUNKER (descendent of Roger of Rattery!)
