It appears that the Bedfordshire Bunkers do not match the Devon Bunkers. This means that James of Dover, NH was NOT related to either of the George's that settled in America in the 1600's. We need more male Bunkers to join in the DNA tests so that we can confirm our findings. So far we have had test results back from only 9 men. However, we have learned that James of Dover was related to the Bunkers in Rattery and in Modbury, Devon, England. They were not related to the Bedfordshire Bunkers. At least one German American Bunker is not related to the English Bunkers. We have determined that one Bunker who did not know his ancestor's origin is descended from the Bedfordshire Bunkers. And one man we thought was descended from James of Dover is not. We really need more Bunker males to participate in the tests.
