This month's issue of "The Genealogical Record of Strafford County, NH" (Vol. 27, No. 6, Nov/Dec 2004) has a few Bunkers listed in a copy of the membership records of the Third Freewill Baptist Church of Strafford, NH. Strafford County Genealogical Society member William J. Walker did the transcription from the original membership records book. Benjamin H. Bunker was baptized 16 Feb 1838. These were adult baptisms, so this might have been Benjamin Bunker (D-38), son of Enoch. On another page, "Alice wife of B.H. Bunker" is listed as a member. "Betsey wife of Joseph Bunker" is listed as a member. With no other information listed, I interpret the two women's entries to mean they were members as of 1842. Dave Larkin
Dave, Thanks for the new data, however I interpret Benjamin to be D-124; RN 4871, Benjamin Hawkins b 1 Feb 1816 Dorchester NH; m 3 Mar 1841 Alice Clark who was b and d in Stratford. Benjamin listed in Stratford census 1850-60-70, he d 28 Jan 1877. Widow listed 1880 census Stratford. I can not find a Betsey m Joseph; maybe Bette's database can locate her gil ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Larkin" <larxol@adelphia.net> To: <BUNKER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 03, 2004 3:18 PM Subject: Strafford Baptists > This month's issue of "The Genealogical Record of Strafford County, NH" > (Vol. 27, No. 6, Nov/Dec 2004) has a few Bunkers listed in a copy of the > membership records of the Third Freewill Baptist Church of Strafford, > NH.
