Allan K. Bunker - Petoskey News-Review (Jan/1/2005) Updated Friday, December 31, 2004 2:39 PM EST Allan K. Bunker, 46, of Indian River, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Littlefield Township Cemetery in Alanson. Allan was born in Petoskey on Dec. 12, 1958. He was the son of Keith and Linda (Whitney) Bunker. He grew up in St. Clair, Mich., and later moved with his family to Alanson. He attended Alanson and Indian River public schools. Allan had been employed with his father in the masonry business. He later moved to Alaska where he worked in the construction field. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his children: Calie Bunker and Jared Bunker, both of St. Johns, Mich., parents; Keith (Virginia) Bunker of Wolverine, Mich., and Linda (Don) Cooper of Indian River, Mich., brothers and sister; Neil (Kathe) Bunker of Gaylord, Mich., Duane Bunker of Wolverine, Mich., Julie (George) Schoolcraft of Alanson, Mich., half-brothers: Tracy Bunker of Central Lake, Mich. and Paul (Jennifer) Bunker of Central Lake, Mich., several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. "Archie Bunker - Oroville Mercury Register (Jan/2/2005) CONWAY - Bruce E. "Archie" Bunker, 60, of Conway, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at his home following a long illness. He was born in Portsmouth, the son of Ulric and Natalie (Smith) Bunker. He grew up in Greenland and moved to Conway in 2002. He attended Greenland and Portsmouth schools. He served four years in the Navy. He had been employed as a truck driver in construction for 22 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Portsmouth and the Creek Athletic Club in Portsmouth. Surivors include a daughter, Christine C. Colburn of Severn, Md.; a granddaughter, Sarah M. Colburn of Severn, Md.; his mother, Natalie D. Bunker of Conway; two sisters, Cynthia B. Nichols of Conway and Candace P. Abdella of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; and a brother, Brian W. Bunker of Rochester. BUNKER - Bruce E. "Archie" Bunker, 60, of Conway, died Sept. 10, 2004. Bunker - Morning Sentinel (Jan/5/2005) FALMOUTH - Charlene N. Bunker, 72, wife of the late David E. Bunker, formerly of Walpole, entered into rest on the evening of Jan. 1, 2005 at Maine Medical Center. The daughter of Walter J. & Esther (Willing) Nichols, she was born May 26, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wis. Charlene attended early schools in Washington, D.C., and after moving with her family to St. Charles, Ill., she was graduated from St. Charles High School in the Class of 1950. She went on to earn her degree in fashion design from William Woods College. In 1952 she married David, remaining in Illinois, where for 15 years she and her mother operated the Village Vogue clothing store. After coming to Maine in 1976, she and her husband established the Brannon Bunker Inn in Walpole, a business they worked hard at and truly loved. She was a member of St. Andrew's Church in Newcastle and was an active volunteer at Miles Memorial Hospital for many years. She also enjoyed her part time work, in past years, at the House of Ross, clothing store, in Damariscotta. Charlene leaves two daughters, Brandy Fearon of Saco, and Shannon Klar of Gray; and her three grandchildren. A private service Saturday will be at the chapel of the Strong Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta. She will be laid to rest, with her husband, at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wiscasset. If desired, the family wishes donations to the American Cancer Society, in her memory. Bunker - Janesville Gazette, The (Dec/31/2004) Frances E. Bunker, 96, of 4 Payville Rd., Saranac Lake, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1999 at Uihlein Mercy Center, Lake Placid. She was born Aug. 16, 1903 in Moira. Calling hours will be held Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Bunker, 86, formerly of the Roland Roberge Manor in Rochester, died peacefully on Thursday, July 29, 2004, at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home. Born July 13, 1918, in Newton, she was a daughter of the late Glenroy and Doris (Thornell) Colby. She had lived in Rochester for many years before moving to Fremont. She enjoyed cooking, singing and dancing. She was a longtime member of the Clementine's Barbershop Singing Group. Members of her family include her son, Reid Bunker and his wife, Dusty, of Brentwood; daughter Dianna Gardella and her husband, Lawrence, of Hampstead; four grandchildren: April Mailhot, Melanie Bunker, Sarah Bradsher and Matthew Bunker; six great-grandchildren: Reid Chase, Alexandra Chase, Joshua Bunker-Worley, Adam Bunker-Worley, Nicholas Bunker-Worley and Coby Nevius; and a sister, Christine Foy and her husband, John, of Newton.
