    3. I recently looked up some people on the SSDI and discovered that several sites do not have any entries after Jan 2004. This is probably due to the mistaken idea that identity theft is coming from genealogical information. WRONG. It comes from credit cards. Don't watch your ancestors. Watch your credit cards. Anyway, I did discover that NEHGS has the SSDI up to date through Dec 2004. Since it usually takes about 30 days to get the info online that is as up to date as you can get. This NEHGS database is free. www.newenglandancestors.org/research/database/ss I wish I was as up to date as they are.
