Dear Researchers, The Northampton Co., PA census for 1890 is steadily going online at http://www.enter.net/~ritar. This does not contain all the information available in a US Census, but does contain the names, ages, and in some cases, occupations of everyone in the county. In city areas street addresses are included. So far the following are online: Bethlehem--north and south, Bath Borough, Chapman Quarries, Freemansburg, Hanover Township, Hellertown Borough, Moravian Seminary, and almost all of Lower Saucon Twsp: Ironville, Leithsville, Redington, Seidersville, and the part of Hellertown located in Lower Saucon. Also, Allen Township including Catasauqua. Over 27,000 names. More name are being added weekly. In 1890, Northampton Co. contained a very high percentage of people of German descent. Still does. Mary
