Dear Researchers, The Northampton Co., PA census for 1890 is steadily going online at http://www.enter.net/~ritar This does not contain all the information available in a US Census, but does contain the names, ages, and in some cases, occupations of everyone in the county. In city areas street addresses are included. So far the following are online: Bethlehem--north and south, Bath Borough, Chapman Quarries, Freemansburg, Hanover Tsp., Hellertown Borough, Moravian Seminary, all of Lower Saucon Twsp: Ironville, Leithsville, Redington, Seidersville, Shimers- ville, and the part of Hellertown located in Lower Saucon. Also, Allen Township including Catasauqua, Howertown, Newport, Siegfried's Bridge, and Stemton. Also, Palmer Township, East Bangor, Mt. Bethel--Upper and Lower, Bethlehem Twsp., and Lehigh Twsp. including Berlinsville, Cherryville, Treichlers, & Danielsville. Over 40,000 names. More name are being added weekly. In 1890, Northampton Co. contained a very high percentage of people of German descent. Still does. Mary
