In an article about my ggggrandfather, John Vetor/Vietor, arrived in New York in 1831 with his father William. It also says that John was born Nov. 22, 1817 in Koressin. I now believe that to be Kurhessen, possibly Neustadt. I have an other article which was thought to be about the same John. That states "...in the churchbooks of the catholic parish 'St. Trinitas' in Neustadt. They found Johannes Vietor born Nov. 22, 1825...", "he was the legitimate son of Georg Vietor and his wife Anna Faber." "Godfather was Johannes Vietor." I do not think these Johannes' are my John, but I do feel they could very well be the same family. Perhaps William and Georg were brothers. Does any one have idea's about how I would go about proving or disproving this? Thank you in advance, Linda
