    2. I am searching for anyone who is related or could be related to my great- grandparents. My great-grandfathers name was Karl August Willhelm Templiner. He was born December 26, 1897 in Lutzen, Germany (the U should have umlauts above it). He started working on ships at 12 years of age and jumped ship in 1915 to escape WWI. He had 5 other siblings: Wally, Willy Otto Ernst, Richard Fred, Otto Herman Ernst & Marie. Otto moved to the US, I have tracked his family down. The rest of the family remains a mystery other than old documents of the family. Richard Fred Templiner lives or lived in Grossgorschen for many years. I have written him, but have not had a response. Richard had a daughter named Cristal, but we don't know where she lives. Wally's daughter is named Edna Dorfer. Once again, we don't know how to reach her. Any help in finding any of these relatives would be appreciated. Vielen Dank! Please respond to JackRabel@aol.com.

    3. Researching my father's side of the family. His father, Fredrich Carl ENGELHARDT, was born 21 Jan 1863 in Frankfurt, Germany to Christian ENGELHARDT and Johanna Nettie BEHRENDS. He had a sister, Caroline ENGELHARDT, who remained in Germany and married Carl SCHAEFER. He had two brothers who came to America with him about 1880. They are Henry (born 15 March 1851) and Christian (born 1861). He had two brothers who stayed in Germany. They are Ludwig (born 19 Apr 1858 and died 13 Apr 1834) and Wilhelm (born 15 Jan 1859 and died 5 Apr 1933 in the town of Waldech). A sister, Fredericke (born 31 Jan 1871) came to America in 1901 and married Henry MURK, also from Germany and friend of the family in Germany. My father's mother had parents also from Germany. Jacob DURR (born 1848 perhaps in Mecklenburg or Wertenburg) came as a boy to Indiana. He grew up and married Elizabeth WITT (Born 1849 in Germany). They had two children before moving to Ellensburg, WA Terr in 1879 where they had three more children. Elizabeth probably has the surname HAHN or HAWN in her family. Perhaps her mother had a second marriage by that name. If any of this sounds familiar, or if there are suggestions on how to find some of my German relatives please contact me at mailto:george@arias.net or post here. Thank you, Bud Engelhardt in Spokane, WA

    2. Kathleen Grone
    3. Hello, I am new to this list and my name is Kathleen. I am from Nebraska and I am researching some German ancestors of mine and my husbands. The names are Kerner, Creen or Creene, Grone, Koester that I know of for now. I just started my Dads and husbands and have been working on my mothers for awhile. Is Gardiner a German name? I will get more information sorted out. I have never been on a country list, just a names list. Bruno Creen born in Berlin b. abt 1880 moved to NYC, NY Philip Kerner and Jenny James both born 1861 in Frankfurt Germany Bernard Grone May 8, 1874 in Ollenburg, Germany Bertha Catharine Louise Koester June 18, 1882 Oldenburg, Germany Bernard came to America either alone or with uncles as a teen. Bertha came with family also as a teen. Nancy Gardiner was born around 1790 and I don't know where. She married a Hensley in Tennessee. Thank you for your help and advice. 1. searching for FRANKENFELD & BEITELMAN & DEUM (N?)
    2. Diane Frankenfield
    3. Hello. I am searching for information on my direct ancestors. Johann Simon FRANCKENFELD and his wife, Anna Eva (Eve?) BEITELMAN. They may have been married in Kirberg or nearby c.1730-1740?? They had 5 sons in Germany before emigrating to the U.S.:Philipp Peter, Johann Heinrich, Johann Peter (died as an infant), Johann Andreas, Philipp Adam, and Johann Peter (died at age 6). I would very much like to know more about Simon and Eva (Eve?), their birthdates, date of marriage, and information about their parents. Eva's surname may have other spellings...BEIDELMAN, BEUTELMAN, etc. but BEITELMAN is the surname given to me by another member of my family. ALSO, a more distant direct ancestor in my FRANKENFELD line was Hubert FRANCKENFELD, the son of Class Thomas VON FRANCKENFELD (b.1603 in Francorchamps, Belgium, d. 7-01-1692) and his wife Anne DEUM (DEUN?)(b. ??? d. 10-11-1669). I think Class Thomas and Anna had two sons named Hubert, but I may be mistaken. Their first Hubert, born in 1625(?) remained in Kirberg and was a tavern owner and beer brewer. The second Hubert we think was born in 1644 and married Anna Dorothea WALLRABENSTEIN. We don't have any dates for Anna Dorothea or any information about her. I noticed there is a village very near Kirberg by the name of Wallrabenstein...could it be that she is from a family from that village? Hubert and Anna Dorothea had at least two sons, Johann Christoff (b.1673) and Peter Philipp (b. 1678). We would like to know if they had any other children, their dates, and to confirm that there were two Huberts born to Class Thomas VON FRANCKENFELD and his wife Anna DEUM (DEUN?). Information regarding Anna DEUM's (DEUN?) and Anna Dorothea WALLRABENSTEIN's dates, family and origins would also be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much for reading this, and I hope there is some information out there that can be shared! If anyone is interested in what happened to Johann Simon and Anna Eva's line after coming to America, I have that information. Diane Frankenfield
