Hi, everyone, I have talked to Ginny Deagan about the BULLOCK line that I am researching, but don't think I submitted it to the list. Pardon me if this is repeated information, I am starting to get confused by all the lists that I am on -- just hate dropping off of any, in case I miss the information I have been looking for! Here is what I have: 1. Henry BULLOCK, b. 1594/5, came from the parish of St. Lawrence, Essex Co., England, m. Susan ____________. Henry, age 40, emigrated in ship Abigail in June 1635 with wife Susan, age 42, and children Henry (age 8 years), Mary (age 6 years) and Thomas (age 2 years). Henry received a grant of land at Charlestown, MA, where he was a proprietor in 1638. Henry moved to Salem MA in abt. 1644. Susan d. abt 2 Nov 1644. Henry m. /2/ Elizabeth _______. He died 27, 10th Month (Dec) 1664. His will dated 21 Dec 1663 mentions wife Elizabeth, son Thomas, grandchildren John and Elizabeth (children of his deceased son Henry). 2. Henry Jr. (child of 1st wife Susan), b. abt 1627 in England, m. /1/ in 1644 Alice FLINT, dau of William Flint and his wife Alice WILLIAMS. Henry died before 21 Dec 1663. 3. John, b. Aug 1654 at Salem, MA, m. 3 Aug 1681 Mary MAVERICK (possibly same daughter of Moses MAVERICK who was baptized at Salem on 6:7m:1657 according to Salem VR?), d. 1694. He was a soldier in King Phillip's War. 4. John, b. 5 Apr 1686 at Salem, MA, m. 20 July 1710 at Salem Mary CARYLL (aka CARROLL, possibly same daughter of Nathaniel CARYLL and his wife Priscilla DOWNING who was b. after 1683 according to Salem VR?) 5. John, b. 21 Apr 1711 at Salem, MA, m. 27 Oct 1737 Elizabeth STILEMAN (aka STILLMAN) 6. John, b _____, m. 20 Sept 1762 at Salem, MA, Rosina Barbarina ULMERIN (aka "Barbary") 7. Samuel, b. 6 April 1763 at Salem, MA, m. 20 May 1787 Eunice WYMAN of Beverley MA, dau of Solomon WYMAN and his wife Eunice PEASE. Lived in Danvers, MA 8. Capt. Isaac, b. 3 Sept 1796 at Northport, ME, m. 15 Aug 1822 at Rockland ME, Jane SYMONTON (aka SIMONTON), d. 18 June 1838 9. Capt. Francis Simonton, b. abt 1825, m. 2 Jan 1847 Susan Jones RICH. They resided Rockland, ME. 10. Morton Yates, b. 30 Oct 1858 at Rockland ME, m. 3 June 1891 in Baltimore MD, Mary Henrietta BERGER, d. 25 Sept 1906 in Baltimore 11. Morton Yates Jr., b. 13 Jan 1895 in Baltimore, m. 13 Sept 1820 in Baltimore MD, Rosine Alma FICHT, d. 25 Oct. 1971 There are three more living generations of BULLOCKs. This is the line as given to me by Rosine Alma Ficht Bullock (wife of #11 above). The same line is repeated in the DAR applications of Susan Jones Rich Bullock (wife of #9) and her daughter Caroline Rich Bullock (Mrs. True Page Pierce of NY), both since deceased. My problem? Someone just sent me a couple of pages from the book "History of Salem", Vol II -- and in it, it says that Samuel Bullock (#7) was the son of John Bullock #5 and his wife Elizabeth Stileman, and NOT of John Bullock #6 and his wife Rosina Barbarina Ulmerin! John #6 and Rosina did have a son Samuel, bapt 29 May 1763 who lived in Northport Maine in 1798. No wife is given (wives seem to be given for each person -- does this mean that he didn't marry?) The Samuel Bullock who married Eunice Wyman was bapt. 16 Feb 1755. There is no death date given for him, or names of his children (although it does say that he had children.) Effectively, this means I have an incorrect generation in here somewhere (either I get rid of John and "Barbary" or I get rid of Samuel and Eunice and substitute a different Samuel and unknown wife.) Does anyone have access to the Danvers, MA Vital Records or the Northport, ME Vital Records? Is there anyone who can find names of children born to Samuel and Eunice (to see if my Capt. Isaac is among them)? I have a terrible sinking feeling that Samuel and Eunice are out unless they moved to Northport ME 9 years later to have Isaac... <sigh> Such is genealogy -- win a few, lose a few. Too bad, too...I've traced the WYMANs all the way back to the 1500s....and now I have to find an unknown wife! Argh! Help?!!! Thanks for letting me sob on your shoulders!
