The clerk & master filed his report of the resurvey of the tract of land purchased by James R. Patterson, made by the County in pursurance of an order of the last Court showing that the said tract was 57 acres short of the quantity it was estimated at when purchased by said Patterson, and thereupon the Court directed the Clerk & Master to enter a credit of $85.50 on said Patterson's bond for the said 57 acres at $1.51 acre at which price it was paid off by him. The Clerk & Master is allowed for his services, as commissions in making the sale of the land heretofore reported, Fifty dollars. Sept Term 1844 (Equity Minute Dockett) Frederick J. Carter & wife & others vs Wm Rupell & wife & Others In the case it appears that the Defendants Baxter McLean & wife, Thomas Bullock, Monroe, Emma Bullock, William Bullock are non residents & it is therefore ordered that publication in due form be made as to them for six weeks in the Oxford Mercury. it is also ordered that the Clerk of this Court be appointed Guardian Judents (can't read this word) for the infant defandants Minerva, Jno W., Robert M. Mildred & Ruffin Bullock. Equity Dockett, Sept Term, 1841 Frederick J. Carter & Wife & Others vs Thomas T. Bullock & Others. In this case it appearing from the petition that the Defendants Thomas T. Bullock, Baxter McLean & Ann his wife, Monroe Bullock, Emma Bullock and William Bullock reside without the limits of this state, and affidavit thereof having been made by William Rupell, (the way this is written it could easily be, and I believe its William Russell) one of the petitioners, before the Clerk & Master according to act of Assembly in such case made & aproved. It is therefore ordered that publication be made in the Oxford Mercury for six days successive weeks for the said Defendiants to appear at the next term of this court to be held at the Court House in the Town of Oxford on the first Monday of March next and plead, answer or d_____ to the said petition otherwise the same will be taken proconfesso and heard esparte. Feb. Court 1849 County Court Minutes On motion, John W. Carr is appointed administrator of Thomas Bullock, deceased, who enters into bond for $300 with James A. Russell, securities and duly qualifies as such. May Court 1849 (County Court Minutes) John Carr adm. of Thomas Bullock, deceased retuns an Inventory which is ordered to be recorded. Failed to write the date down on this one-LIbrary Staff warned about closing. County Court Minutes 1848-1852 A Power of Attorney from Frances Bullock Administrator of Thomas T. Bullock, Dec'd of the State of Texas to John Bullock is exhibited in open Court by the said John Bullock and the same appearing to the satisfaction of the Court to be in due form of law, an motion the said Power of Attorney & the acompanying Certificates are ordered to be registered. Whew---will stop here---most of others are about the same as above. The Oxford Mercury was not saved----only a very few scattered dates. I had look to see it there happened to be a paper with the Murder Story in it--no paper. I think this proves that Thomas Bullock did have a "T" in his name and that his wife was Frances, also proves most of the 14 children names in above. Minerva (from Capon, Fla.) married Durrell Tilley at the home of her sister Elizabeth Bullock Carr at 9am---infor from the Death and Marriages found in the Hillsborough Recorder---also in the Granville Co Marriage Book it has Frederick J. Carter and Lucy Bullock 1836. (as well as Elizabeth Bullock and John Wesley Carr). The Hillsborough Recorder has the death notice of Amelia Bullock, wife of Richard Bullock, and 14 children. Will have to go back to copier and make you a set if you want---remember these will not be all that good---as the original was made from poor film. Some of the film has dark areas--but have to take what you can get, uh? (It will have to be next week before I can get to copier again--busy here at home).
