The claims in Granville Co came from deeds and wills not from Rays book. And Dr. Lewis T. Bullock is from the Hugh Bullock set and his work is not in Raleigh, but in the Thornton Library in Granville Co. Have you seen his work??? The only book in Raleigh other than Rays is the Bulloch/Roebuck Family and it too has mixed-up information, but then someone has to start somewhere and then its up to us to correct as more information is found. These eariler researchers did a very good job in getting us all started on the many branches of the Families. The Pitt Co. Bullocks are not connected to the Granville Co. Bullocks. I know these Bullocks that owned Bullocks Bar-B-Q in Durham, and worked with the Daughter Earlene Bullock Smith for several years. My Family came out of St. Mary's County, Maryland to Granville Co. Not connected to the Richard or Hugh Bullock until much futher back than what I know--as we all began with Adam and Eve, uh? I enjoy reading the research by all the Bullocks on the Bullock Digest--at least we are working to get each and every branch connected to the first Bullock that arrived in American for that Branch.
