I got this email from another Bullock the other day, and was wondering if anybody had any info: ----------------------------------------- A strange request from me I wonder if there is a short biography of Thomas BULLOCK available your side. He was born Leek Cheshire 23 Dec 1816 son of a Grocer, went to USA about 1830's+ died in Utah 1885 aged 69. He was the Recorder for Brigham Youngs party on the 1847 trek west. He also compiled Journals and a book 'Kingdom in the West' based on his journals. It is said that he or possibly someone else, lead a 'Mission' or two back to the Macclesfield ares of Cheshire England towards 1850's approx. I'm interested in who lead any such 'Missions' and did they recruit anyone from the many BULLOCK families in the Macclesfield farming villages. This Thomas is not a direct ancestor of mine but he and his forefathers all lived on farms next door to my BULLOCK's Any thing will be welcome that is easily available As always All the very best to you Regards Ernest [email protected] jan -- Mr. Jan Bullock County Coordinator Rockcastle County KyGenWeb Page http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyrockca/rock.htm Bullock Family Home Page http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ranch/1815/ Subscribe to Rockcastle County mail list, Send email to [email protected] with a subject of subscribe (mail mode) [email protected] with a subject of subscribe (digest mode) BULLOCK Researcher?
