I have a record of the will made by David Bullock in Edgecombe Co., NC, in 1774. He must be the David whom you mention as being married to Elizabeth Hood, because he had a son named Robert Hood Bullock. I have not verified the information for myself, but I have been told that the parents of this David Bullock were Edward Bullock and his wife Sarah, with the parents of Edward being Richard Bullock and his wife Dorothy. Richard Bullock was said to have been born about 1741 in York Co., VA. and his son Edward was born 1665/1670 in New Kent Co., VA, and died 1735/39 in Hanover Co., VA. I have been trying to figure out the origin of a John Bullock who made his will in Edgefield Co., SC, in 1799. When I saw your posting mentioning Edgefield Co., I thought that perhaps the David whom you mentioned could be the father of John. However, that seems unlikely unless David Bullock's will was filed in both Edgecombe and Edgefield Counties. I don't have any information on the parents of Elizabeth Hood, but I wouldn't be surprised if her father's name was Robert Hood for whom her son was named. My best regards, Ron
