There is under consideration at rootsweb, a proposal to close all mail lists so that ONLY list members can post. This will NOT affect the lists here. They are already Closed. This will if put into effect, stop most spam from getting on rootsweb lists. This will also go a long way towards preventing what recently happened with WebTV subscribers being blocked from recieving rootsweb mail. We don't want that to happen with any server. The MAIN effect this will have is this: IN ORDER TO POST TO A ROOTSWEB LIST YOU MUST JOIN IT. The recent high volume of Spam attacks against RootsWeb has made this proposal necessary, and as list owner I feel it would be wise to close all lists. AS previously stated this will NOT effect this list. This list is already CLOSED to non Subscribers. Jeff Scism
