    1. [BULLOCK-L] RE: BULLOCK FAMILY, BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ
    2. William A. Collins
    3. Hi there.......haven't sent to you in a while I "suspect" that your Thomas is the son, b.31 Jul 1781 to Amos BULLOCK 2 Sep 1752 - 22 Apr 1824 (son of John 1712-1804 by Margaret WRIGHT) by Margaret BUTCHER 11 May 1758 - 25 Jun 1798 (dau of Thomas) If so, Thomas was the oldest of 10 1. Thomas 2. Sarah, 2 Jul 1783 - 3. David Barton, 14 Feb 1785 - 4. Margaret, 13 Sep 1786 - 5. Elizabeth, 22 May 1789 - 6. Mary, 29 Nov 1790 - 4 Dec 1791 7. Caleb, 6 Apr 1794 - 12 Jun 1794 8. Amy, 13 Oct 1795, mar. 17 Dec 1818 Upper Freehold Mtg to Thomas BORTON 9. Amos, 14 Mar 1797 - 29 Mar 1797 10.Mary L., 23 Jun 1798, mar. 11 May 1826 Arney Town Mtg to Stewart FURMAN It seems as though Thomas used many of these names in naming his children. Makes for a some preponderence of evidence? Chesterfield MM, Burlington NJ apply, also Evesham MM. Hope this helps Oh yes, did you ever get an answer to your "Torpedo Station" question. I can't give you a source, but I believe that this was like an ammunition depot, where ships would pull in to load torpedoes. When they wanted coal (before oil powered ships), they would go to a Coaling Station. Can't help you with where certain ships went, but there is a Navy historian with the government who should have access to ships logs, or at least tell you where they are. I'm adding the line of Thomas BULLOCK that you posted, and would like to have a last name for my citation.
