Those who are descended from Richard Bullock (1622-1667) and Elizabeth Billington would surely qualify for the Black Sheep Society as it was Elizabeth's grandfather, John Billington, who was the first known person of European descent to have been executed in America (for murder). But what about those of us who are descendants of Richard and his first wife, Elizabeth Ingraham? We aren't direct descendants of John Billington, but our xth great grandfather, Richard, did marry John's granddaughter. Do we qualify on that basis? If that doesn't work, how about the descendants of Seth Bullock (Samuel, Richard) and Experience Salsbury? Experience was the great granddaughter of James Cole (bef 1600-1668). James was fined on various occasions for selling "spirits" on the Sabbath, selling to Indians, and selling less than legal measures. Would that make him a Black Sheep candidate?
