Hi John, I was born in Olean, NY but grew up in Bolivar, NY. My dad, Ralph Ressler, had the garage (next to the library) in Richburg for a number of years....perhaps before your time. My mother's maiden name was Bullock. She and dad came from Punxsutawney PA....Mom's father was from Bradford County, PA and his ancestors go back to Rehoboth, MA....Richard Bullock and Elizabeth Ingraham. The Bolivar Library has "The Bolivar Breeze" card indexed. The actual papers are on microfilm. You may be able to find some information from that source. If you need the name of someone to contact, I will try to get it for you. My husband and I spent many hours doing research there. We contacted them ahead of time and were allowed into the library before the usual opening time. Other sources which I have found useful are the Allegany County Local History Books.
