Stephen Bullock of Bermuda ran his shipping line between Bermuda and Charleston. His parents were William and Patience Paynter Bullock who were Quakers. I am of the Rene de St. Julien line. I wonder about whether Mary Margaret Bullock who married Rene had siblings who came to the Charleston area. I have no proof/record of whether that is so or not. The Bullocks were fined for not attending the state church because they were Quakers. Rene de St. Julien was a French Huguenot soldier who fled France for Holland because of his religion. He wound up in England when William and Mary came to the throne and fought in the Battle of Boyne (1689 or 1690) on Irish soil to rid England of Catholic/French connections of James and Louis XIV. William gave him a large land grant in the new world, but he never saw it--for it was over against the Mississippi River--probably in the Chickasaw Old Fields. Does anyone have knowledge of the possible siblings of Mary Margaret Bullock de St. Julien in the American colonies???
