My Bullocks are originally from North Carolina. Edward Bullock was married in North Carolina, probably to Christina. Sometime prior to 1830, they moved to Indiana, with children James, Elizabeth and Sarah. They first settled in Putnam Co., IN (1830 census). Elizabeth married Andrew Eslinger there in 1829. James married Cynthia Dale in Boone Co., IN in 1833. The whole family are next found in the 1840 census in Vermillion Co., IN, on the border of IL. There Sarah married Daniel Ramey. In 1850, James and Cynthia were living in Boone Co., IN, on land she inherited from her father. Enumerated next to them were Hannah Bullock, 50, from GA, and a Samuel Bullock, 20, born in IN. Hannah is somehow related to this family, either as an older unmarried sister, or the wife of another son of Edward that I have yet to determine. James and Cynthia had children James Manuel, Christina, Elizabeth, William Edward, and Lewis Squire. James died in 1851, and Cynthia died before 1859, having remarried and giving birth to another child. I would like to hear from anyone researching this family.
