4-2-01 Hello, I am having trouble finding info on my paternal grandmother's and grandfather's lines. My grandpa's name was Thomas Gilliam McLemore who married my grandma, Hepsia Mildred Burdine. It is told by my family that the mother of my grandpa, Martha Bullock (married to Thomas Gilliam McLemore, Sr.) and the mother of my grandma, Sarah Bullock (b. 8-16-1855 ? /married to Frank Burdine), were sisters, thus making my grandparents first cousins! Because of this, the families did not get along, making it hard to come up with names, since they did not WANT to discuss it. My father isn't for certain, but he thinks the names of Martha and Sarah's parents were Marthie and Noey Bullock. On a copied marriage bond that I have for Thomas Gilliam Sr. and Martha Bullock, there is a signature of a Perry Bullock. I can't find where his name connects: maybe an uncle? brother? grandfather? It is known that all of these people were from Somerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky. Near the Skaggs Creek/Line Creek areas. My grandpa and grandma were married in Valley Oaks. Janetta, you failed to state what the approximate age of Perry Bullock may have been. I have a Perry Bullock, born 1836, wife Catherine Chaney. He was son of Buford and Leana Rash Bullock. Buford was son of Jesse Bowling Bullock from Pulaski Co KY. Perry and Catherine Bullock had a son named Noah, could this be your Noey?? Sending more information to your email address.
