    1. [Bullock] BULLOCK, Mary & David THURBER
    2. Jim Bullock
    3. I believe I have an error in my data regarding the parents of Mary Bullock who married David Thurber 12 Jan 1758 in Rehoboth, Bristol Co., MA. Some years ago I received some information without sources that this was the same Mary who had previously married William Wheeler 30 Aug 1753 in Rehoboth. There are two reasons that I believe that there were two different Mary Bullocks, one who married William Wheeler and one who married David Thurber. One is that the marriage record in Arnold's Rehoboth VR shows that David Thurber married Mary BULLOCK, not Mary WHEELER. If Mary had been married previously to Wheeler, her married name would have been used in the VR. The other reason for doubting that Mary (Bullock) Wheeler married David Thurber is that she was 30 and he was 23 when he married. However, I have about 40 Bullocks named Mary, Marcy, or Mercy but can't find one who was unmarried and was close to David Thurber's age. The Mary I have who married William Wheeler was the daughter of Richard & Mary (Wheaton) Bullock, born 17 Sep 1727 in Rehoboth. Does anyone have a good source for the birth of Mary Bullock who married David Thurber? Jim Bullock

    2. Is anyone researching the Boone County, IN Bullocks? My GG-grandfather was James P. Bullock, who married Cynthia Dale in 1833 in Boone Co. They had children James M., Christena Jane (John W. Smith), Elizabeth, William Edward and Lewis Squire. William was my G-grandfather. James P. died in 1851, his wife remarried in 1853, and the children became the wards of Josiah C. Lane, a wealthy merchant in Boone Co. I know pretty much of what happened to the four elder children, but not of Squire. He was born in about 1848. He was about 4 when he became the ward of J.C. Lane. There are references to him in the guardianship papers until about 1858. Is this name familar to anyone? Also, James P. Bullock's father was probably Edward, and his mother was most likely Christena. According to the census records, James P. was born in North Carolina, probably about 1806. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

[MD, vol. IX, p. 30] No other documentation has been published regarding his date or place of birth. (2) Inventory of Richard Bullock's estate taken on 22 Nov 1667 [MD, vol. XVII, p. 28; MF5, vol. 5, p. 38] Brist = Rounds' "Abstracts of Bristol County, Massachusetts, Probate Records, 1687-1745", Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc., Baltimore, 1987 MD = "The Mayflower Descendant"; Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants MF5 = McGuire, Wakefield, and Hodge; "Mayflower Families Through Five Generations"; General Society of Mayflower Descendants; Plymouth; 1997 RVR = Arnold; "Vital Record of Rehoboth, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, 1642-1896", Narragansett Historical Publishing Co., Providence, 1897 SwA = Mason, "Book A, Records of the Town of Swansea, 1662 to 1705", E. It is clear that John, son of Richard & Elizabeth (Billington) Bullock did not marry Susanna Wright in 1705, also that his will was probated in Bristol Co., MA, not in NJ. Jim Bullock

    1. [Bullock] RICHARD BULLOCK m. ELIZABETH INGRAHAM and ELIZABETH BILLINGTON
    2. George Simmons
    3. Howdy all, I'm getting confused by all the "bull" about Richard Bullock who married Ingraham. Is this the same Richard who later married Billington? Did Richard and Elizabeth Ingraham have a son John who married 1. Ann Wright 2. Elizabeth Barnes and 3. Susannah Wright Perot? Who are the children of each wife? This is the John who's will was proved May 4 1741. "John BULLOCK, lived Burlington Co. NJ. His will was proved 4 May 1741. In his will, he mentioned the children listed below, as well as his wife, Susannah, and his daughter-in-law Elizabeth CRAIG. He named his son John as executor. Children: John, Joseph, William, Eleanor (m. John DENNIS bet. 1716-1720), Elizabeth m. Mr.FOLWELLl, Sarah m. Mr. HARRISON, Ann m. Mr. BURTISS, Mary m. Mr. BRANSON, Rebeckah." The Elizabeth Craig would have been his step-daughter not dau-in-law. Unless step-children were called "son/dau-in-laws" back then. I thought I had the Bullock's figured out then someone e-mailed that I was wrong. I've lost that e-mail and can't remember exactly what it said. I believe they said this John who m. Wright was not the son of Richard and Ingraham or Billington. Is the following statement correct, or generally accepted as correct? "Elizabeth Ingraham was born July 10, 1639 in Rehoboth Briston Co. Mass. She married Richard Bullock August 4, 1647. She died January 7, 1658 or 1659. She was the daughter of Richard Ingraham and Elizabeth Wignall." =============== My John Bullock is, 1.
