    3. Nancy, I remember the Ressler garage in Richburg although I was quite young at the time. Seems there was a fire there back in the 50's. My uncle, Bob Saunders was injured fighting that fire. Grandpa Saunders owned the Empire Oil Well Supply Co. just a couple lots down from the garage. My home was directly across from that company, adjacent to the Casa Nova Grill. There are absolutely no businesses left in Richburg today. What graduating class where you in at Bolivar? Mine was the class of 1968 at Richburg. My mom Ora Jean Saunders Bullock was the secretary at that school from 1955 through 1988. My grandmother, Ruth Saunders still lives in Richburg. She taught school there from the 1940's thru 70's. Thanks for getting in touch, John Bullock ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy J. 3. Hi John, I was born in Olean, NY but grew up in Bolivar, NY. My dad, Ralph Ressler, had the garage (next to the library) in Richburg for a number of years....perhaps before your time. My mother's maiden name was Bullock. She and dad came from Punxsutawney PA....Mom's father was from Bradford County, PA and his ancestors go back to Rehoboth, MA....Richard Bullock and Elizabeth Ingraham. The Bolivar Library has "The Bolivar Breeze" card indexed. The actual papers are on microfilm. You may be able to find some information from that source. If you need the name of someone to contact, I will try to get it for you. My husband and I spent many hours doing research there. We contacted them ahead of time and were allowed into the library before the usual opening time. Other sources which I have found useful are the Allegany County Local History Books. Angelica is in Allegany Co......The courthouse at Belmont may be useful for you. Pleasant Holidays and Good luck, Nancy J. 3. Posted on: Bullock Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Bullock/262 Surname: Bullock from San Augustine TX ------------------------- Susan Bullock and Sarah "Sally" Bullock were sisters. Their children grew up and married: They (Albert C. Thacker b. 1863, and Sara Elizabeth Bullock b.1868) had four children. Can anyone tell me about these children: 1. James Thacker 2. Sara "Sally" Thacker 3. Hattie Mae 4. Beatrice Blanch Thacker. I only know about #4. B. Blanch Thacker b.1894 was my grandmother and she married Marvin Lee Harper. She always told us that she was 1/2 Cherokee Indian and Blackfoot and 1/2 English. She said her mother died in child birth and she was raised by an Indian woman and a peg legged Uncle. Any ideas out there? What am I missing? Thanks, Laura Harper-Hurst
