Hi Mara He lists Hermann Pottgieter (also referred to is SA an Pottgeiter, Potgieter, and Potgeter). Herrmann was the son of Herrmann Pottgieter and his wife Schwenne nee Lodden; and born in Nordhorn (Germany) (This information was obtained from the Mayor of City of Nordhorn "Heimatvereins für die Grafschaft Bentheim). He married 1672 in Cape Town to a dutch woman (no name mentioned) at they had seven children(no names mentioned). He lived as a Bürger in Stellenbosch.
