Hi It's been a good week this week. I managed to make connections with three 3rd cousins who all descend from Betsy FINCHER and Anthony BEASLEY. Therefore riding on the wave of my good fortune, I am hoping that somebody out there can help me make a link between two families that I am sure will be connected... In 1839, Betsy FINCHER and Anthony BEASLEY married at the parish church in Whitchurch. I have their marriage certificate, which states that Betsy's father was a labourer named Joseph.... Although i have loads of data regarding the FINCHERs back to about 1791, I cannot tie in these two particular FINCHERS to any branch of the FINCHERS that i already have. The IGI does not have a birth for an Elizabeth/Betsy Fincher with a father named Joseph within the right time frame and I cannnot find a Joseph FINCHER in the 1851 census who is likely to be a match for the Jospeh stated in the marriage cert. Betsy states her birth place as Whitchurch in both 1851 and 1861, but i cannot find any record of her in the PR's although i ve looked twice now (back for a 3rd shot in Jan 05). So if anyone can shed any light on this puzzle , i would be greatful. Kind regards Tezz
