I wonder if someone on this list can help me. I have version 3.0 of family tree maker on floppy disc. updated to versoin 9,00 on CD. My problem is this: I have just been given a lap top and this doesn't have a floppy disc drive. Can I make copies of the 3 floppy discs onto a CD and then use this to put the programme onto my lap top. (I can use my daughter's computer to copy to CD.) Assuming I can do this, do I then put the CD upgrade in and then make a gedcom of my data and download it to the lap top? If this is not possible will I have to purchase the complete Family Tree Maker? Thank you so much for reading this - I hope it makes sense:-) Jenny
