Dear List - Thanks to a kind lister who sent me a 1851 census with Sarah HAWTHORN (widow of schoolmaster) and daughter Ann - I have found a family connection with the WEBB family of Burnham. I knew my grGrandmother Rebecca HAWTHORN (DICKSON) had a sister - a Mrs. Webb - who had several children but I did not know her first name. When I checked out Ann HAWTHORN in the LDS website - I found she had indeed married a WEBB (George Jr.) and one of her children was called George Hamlet WEBB. Since my Gr Grandmother Rebecca HAWTHORN (DICKSON)'s father's name was also Hamlet (Henry HAWTHORN), I am sure this must be the same family, Hamlet being such an unusual first name. I noticed in the archives that there are some WEBB listers. If there is a descendant of Ann WEBB on the list - did you know anything about /or have any further information about her sister Rebecca? In family letters it was mentioned that Ann was a mid-wife. I also have papers (with her signature) that connect a Mrs. WEBB (Ann or a relation?) with my GrGrUncle in the owning of property in Kildare, Ireland that was rented out to tennants. If this information relates to anyone on the list -or anyone has more information in this connection, I would like very much to hear from you. Yours sincerely Mary Margaret
