I've just purchased the 1891 census foe Bucks. in the hope >of looking up my ancestors (Shipperley and variant spellings) in Brill. I then >was going to purchase the 1891 census index from yourselves. But I cannot find >Brill,Bucks on my census. I presume this is from one of the firms who do facsimiles - they must have been careless in missing out Brill, which was in the Thame registration district, but in the County of Bucks, like a small number of other parishes. Our 1891 census CD is a fully transcribed copy of ALL entries for parishes in the county in 1891, and this transcription shows all information included in the original (except the numerical etc pages which add nothing to the genealogical information)/ It was tripl;e checked and we consider it to be as good as the original. The cost is 15 pounds plus 1 pound UK post /pkg (or 1.65 overseas air p/p) and can be obtained from me at Varneys, Rudds Lane, Haddenham, Bucks HP17 8JP (cheque to Bucks GS) > I am also >interested in joining your society. Who do I contact please. The UK cost for an individual is 8.50 per year (family 10 pounds). As the year begins on January 1, we are offering instant membership, with an entry of all surname interests etc in the forthcoming December 04 magazine, for an extra 1.50. (single payment) membership to continue until January 2006/ (Same address, include full details of any families you are searching, with place e.g. PRICE North Marston BKM, listing Bucks surnames first, then other places. -- Eve McLaughlin Author of the McLaughlin Guides for family historians Secretary Bucks Genealogical Society
