Is there anyone out there that confirm to me that Esther and George BIRCH below are brother and sister?? I have in my tree an Esther BIRCH born Jan 1814 and married John BRANDON in 1836. My Esther has a brother, George, born Dec 1828, both from Chesham. I already know that Esther's parents are William and Mary Birch. I have been contacted by someone who's distant relative was George BIRCH from Chesham, born 1828 and married and had a son, William, in 1870. What are is the likelihood that this is the same George? Can anyone out there point me in the right direction other than a long trip to the RC in Aylesbury to go through the Parish Registers to see how many George BIRCH's there were. Hope someone can help! Hi Caroline, There are 8 George Birch's listed in Ancestry.com's index as being born in Chesham - 6 are aged 74, 43, 38, 13, 9, 3 - all still in Bucks. 1 aged 54 and living in Watford, and 1 aged 26 and living in Bermondsey. The 43 year old George appears to be living with 7 children (no wife), one of whom is a 3 year old William. Does your contact have his/her George's marriage cert, and if so who is his Father?
