Hello List Members, Is there anyone researching the Cooper family. Was this William the son of Jane Cooper? How is this family related to the Sales / Palmer families? How easy would it be to find the Cooper family on the 1871 census? Thanks, Olwyn Kiwi in TX Burnham Bucks 28 Oct 1884 I knew you would be grieved to hear of poor father's death... I saw Jane, Mrs Cooper, in London about two months ago. They are still living at Kibble House, Westminster. ...told me there [sic] eldest son would go to NZ and has tried to find you out but could not. I gave them your address so whether he will find you I do not know. I also saw the Paynes but they are so very high up in the trees now. George is State Coachman to the Queen, he cannot get higher.... Hello List Members, Thank you to all who replied. I believe my William Palmer's mother Sarah Cooper married Thomas Palmer on 26 July 1819 at Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire but can't be sure. Thomas was a butcher. He is listed in Pigot & Co.'s directory for Egham, Surrey in 1823/4, one of 5 Egham butchers. He does not appear in 1839, 45 or 55. They had three children. The Palmer family is not on the Egham census of 1841 and 1861. Thomas Palmer m. Sarah Cooper 26 July 1819, Bucks. Children: 1. Eliza Cooper Palmer bap. 2 Nov. 1823 by Dr Jeans m. George Payne 2.
