I've looked for Lizzie using every combo and trick I can think of and just can't find her.......is there some kind soul out there up for a challenge or does anyone have any suggestions? Elizabeth Verde GARDINER was born 4 Mar 1874 so should be 27 at census date. Born in Amersham, kitchen maid in the Lion Hotel in High Wycombe in the 1891 census. Last spotted at the baptism of her illegitimate daughter Elsie in Datchet in 1896 (Elsie is listed as a boarder with Fanny & Katie Hopkinson in Denham in 1901 - no known connection there). Lizzie's widowed mother and siblings moved from Chipping Wycombe to Datchet some time between 1891 and 1901, but she isn't with them in the 1901 census. Elizabeth pops up again in Datchet in 1902 marrying Henry Thomas CRUTCH aka Thomas Henry CRUTCH on Christmas Day. Can't find him either in 1901 <sigh> but I have even less clues to go on with him as I don't know where he was from....he should be 26/27 if his age on their marriage certificate is to be believed, was a coal carter, and his father was also Henry Thomas CRUTCH. Hoping someone else has the magic touch.... Alex in Auckland NZ Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo! Movies. http://au.movies.yahoo.com
