It is now the same thing - The Centre for Bucks Studies, with an outer section containing all material on microforms or CD (censuses, newspapers, registers and so much more) and printed books; the inner section, the Archives, for which you need a Reader's Ticket, has manuscript material like wills, manorial records, Quarter sessions, estate papers, maps etc. Basic details are listed on the bucckscc.gov.uk / archives website You could do with Tracing your Ancestors in Bucks -- Eve McLaughlin Author of the McLaughlin Guides for family historians Secretary Bucks Genealogical Society

Hello List, Just to let you know that another section has been added to the 'Leighton Buzzard Observer and Linslade Gazette' Index website. This local newspaper covers a much larger area than just Leighton Buzzard and Linslade. Please remember, that although all personal names, and most of the place names mentioned in the articles, and advertisements, are added to the index, and notes of the contents of articles are included, there is often still more content to be found in the actual article. Also, please note, there is a related website giving historical information about the the towns of Leighton Buzzard, Beds. and Linslade, which was formerly in Bucks, but is now joined with Leighton to become Leighton-Linslade. Also, several of the related, surrounding villages are included on this site. Both of these sites continue to be added to at fairly regular intervals.
