Hi Tina A couple of suggestions: Bookmark this site: http://www.fhsc.org.uk/genuki/places/ You can look up any village and it will tell you the county and registration district it falls into - very handy! Also you might want to download the Parloc program - you can use this software to locate (for example) Horton and Amersham parishes, find out how close they are to each other, then assess for yourself whether it is likely they could have been in that area or if it's a real long shot. http://www.parloc.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Frame.htm then go to Parish Locator Program to find the links to the downloads.
