    3. So many of our ancestors faded away, many as children or young adults, from the effects of tuberculosis, the scourge of England in Victorian times especially. Dr Hugh Stradling will investigate the cases, the progress of the creeping disease known as THE WHITE DEATH because the victims grew paler and thinner for years. The talk is at 3pm on Saturday, May 14, at the Hartwell Day Centre, Thame Rd South, Aylesbur (off the A418 at the first main roundabout west of the town centre). Doors open at 2pm for an hour's research in fiches and CDs, problem solving with Eve and a computer session with Barney.
