I am looking for the father of William HUGGINS b. circa 1836 in Wheatley in Bucks. His mother's name was Faith, maiden name unknown William's father died before 1861 as Faith HUGGINS and her son William are living in Newington, Surrey and she is a Widow. In the 1871 Census she is described as a Widow of a Parelimount Maker - could anyone tell me what this occupation could be? Does anyone have any HUGGIN's from this area in their data? There is a possibility William's father was called Samuel. I have checked the IGI and there is a Samuel HUGGINS marrying a Faith HUGGINS in 1819 in Cuddesdon, Oxford. Linda

This was the most durable form of writing material and was always used for permanent things like Acts of |Parliament or important deeds. There is one parchment maker still in Englnad (in bucks) -- Eve McLaughlin Author of the McLaughlin Guides for family historians Secretary Bucks Genealogical Society
