Hi Ann I don't know if it is of any relevance but my gt. grandma was Eliza GRIMSDELL who married my gt. grandad George LEWIS. They lived in the Gt Missenden/High Wycombe/Prestwood area. I haven't researched very far back with this side of the family but understand that the GRIMSDELL (or variants) were a large Bucks family. He was married to Rachel and I believe she was sister to Sarah Carter who married my ancestor Richard Oakins. I found Robert and Rachel on the 1841 census in Wycomb Heath with their son and daughter in law and their son George is shown on the 1851 census in Widmer End with his family. I'm hoping that finding out more about Rachel will identify where she and Sarah were born.
