Hi Caz The latest on the Bucks Genealogical Society's 1861 Census CD is as follows: As most people are aware the release of the CD has been much delayed, as it is taking the company responsible for this phase (incorporation of the BGS's transcribed census data into the search engine database etc) very much longer than they anticipated and we are naturally continually pressing them re. their slipping deadlines. I have been told that there are hopes that an 'alpha' version will be ready any time now for testing by a few of us and after this we may/may not go to a 'beta' version (i.e. a final pre-production version for testing). Then the production CDs will be made.
