Hello to the List: I'm looking for the marriage of James GADSDEN to Sarah (maiden name unknown) pre 1757 in Buckinghamshire, possibly Stoke Goldington or environs. I base the approximate marriage date on the birth of the couple's first child Thomas 1757. Subsequent children were John 1759 and Sarah 1760. All three were baptised St Mary's Whitechapel - there is reason to suppose that their parents moved from Bucks to settle in the Stepney area, presumably just before the birth of Thomas 1757. So far despite much digging a suitable contender for this James GADSDEN has not been found and it's a major brick wall in my own GADSDEN line. If anyone else is researching the surname in Buckinghamshire (or Hertfordshire), or has any suggestions for avenues I could follow to find the marriage, I would be most grateful.
