Coming in late to the Valey discussion....I have been transcribing the 1841 census for Wing, and when I just sat down to finish checking it, lo and behold four names in on the first page I was looking at is a Valley CUTLER. In the Bucks 1851 census CD there are only two women named Valley - your Valley SALES (born Hanslope) and this Valley CUTTLER (born Drayton Parslow) - so the name was clearly rare. It would be interesting to see if their families are connected somehow once their maiden names are tracked down.
